The Casper high school basketball teams were on the road for quite some time over the weekend with the long trip to Evanston and Green River. It was a tough trip for the Natrona boys who lost to Riverton in overtime on Friday 62-55 and then lost to Evanston on Saturday 55-47. The Mustangs are now 5-3 in the 4A West and 9-9 overall. The Kelly Walsh boys went 2-0 on the trip with a 52-30 win over Evanston on Friday and then nipping Riverton thanks to a basket in the last :15. The final there was 45-43 as the Trojans improve to 6-2 in 4A West play and 13-4 overall.

On the girls side, Natrona clinched a state tournament berth with 2 wins over the weekend. The Fillies beat Riverton on Friday 55-32 and Evanston on Saturday 56-35 to get to 13-5 overall and 8-0 in the 4A West. It was a good weekend for the Kelly Walsh girls as the Trojans defeated Evanston on Friday 58-37 and Riverton on Saturday 59-49. KW now 9-8 overall and 5-3 in conference play. The Natrona and Kelly Walsh teams will be at Rock Springs and Green River this weekend.
