NC Sweeps KW in H.S. Hoops

The Natrona basketball teams posted impressive wins over Kelly Walsh last week in the opening round of the Battle of Casper. The NC girls continued their dominance of KW with a 52-34 win on Thursday at Casper College. The Fillies ran off 23 points in a row in the 2nd half and were led in scoring by Jaye Johnson with 14. Natrona improved to 5-5 and the Lady Trojans dropped to 3-7.

The Natrona boys handed it to Kelly Walsh on Thursday 50-41 on Thursday. The Mustangs scored the first 9 points of the game and then withstood a KW comeback in the 2nd half. NC's Stevann Brown was the games leading scorer with 16 as the Mustangs climbed to 5-6 on the year with KW dropping to 7-4. Both of the KW and NC boys & girls teams will host Evanston and Riverton Friday and Saturday.
