The Denver Broncos remain a game back in the AFC West with a big divisional road win Sunday afternoon over the Kansas City Chiefs 17-10. Quarterback Tim Tebow didn't do much, just 2 of 8 throwing but did throw a 54 yard TD completion to Eric Decker. Tebow also ran for 44 yards and a touchdown. The Broncos did this without leading rushers Willis McGahee and Knowshon Moreno who were both out with injuries. Kansas City quarterback Matt Cassel had a miserable performance who was 13 of 28 for just 93 yards and a touchdown. Both teams are 4-5 along with San Diego, just a game back of Oakland (5-4). The Broncos have a short week as they will entertain the New York Jets at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Thursday night.

The Wyoming Cowboys posted a big Mountain West Conference win on the road Saturday afternoon defeating Air Force 25-17. The Pokes defense held the Falcons scoreless in the fourth quarter. The Cowboys offense did just enough as quarterback Brett Smith scored twice. The Cowboys are 6-3 overall and 3-1 in the conference and one win away from bowl eligibility. UW will host New Mexico Saturday at noon in Laramie.

The Wyoming high school football season ended on Saturday at War Memorial Stadium at the University of Wyoming. On Saturday, Sheridan (11-1) won their second 4A title in three years beating Cheyenne East (7-5)42-12 and their 23rd overall. Cokeville(10-1) repeated in the 1A giving Southeast (10-1) their first loss of the year, 28-13. In the first game Saturday, Snake River (11-0) also repeated as state champions by running past Dubois (9-2) 54-33. On Friday, Lovell won their first football title since 1987 getting past Lyman (9-2) 21-13 in the 2A title game. Lovell finished a perfect season at 11-0. And Powell (9-2) snapped Douglas'(9-2) three years atop of 3A football with a 15-14 win.

The Wyoming Cowboy Men's basketball season opened up the season with a victory over Western State Saturday night 78-39. The Pokes jumped out to a big lead and never looked back and gave Coach Larry Shyatt an opportunity to play everybody. The Cowboys will host Northern Colorado Tuesday night.

The Casper College  Women's Basketball team are now 4-0 with a couple of wins over the weekend. The T-Birds participated in the Northeastern Junior College Tournament in Sterling, Colorado. The defeated NJC on Friday night 74-68 and the Colorado All-Stars on Saturday afternoon. The Lady T-Birds return home this Thursday through Saturday for their Pizza Hut Classic Tournament.
