As the NFL season is heating up, here a news flash!  No one in the NFL was arrested in  the month of September.

Why is that important?  Because it's actually a rare feat.  It's the first time the league has gone a full calendar month without an arrest in over six years.

The last time the NFL went an entire calendar month without an arrest was July of 2009.  When you combine last month with July '09, those are the only two months in the past 11 years where an NFL player wasn't arrested and last month was the first time in 15 years that the league went a month without an arrest during the season.

Here are some other interesting facts:  The NFL has been averaged an arrest per week over the past five years.

The Minnesota Vikings have had the most arrests during those five years at 18.  The Denver Broncos are next with 16, followed by the San Francisco 49ers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, both with 13.

And no NFL team has gone the last two years without having a player arrested.
