Say What?

What up people?  By far the biggest news coming into this week is regarding Penn State.  I was happy to see the statue dismantled on Sunday and I wonder if  they will keep the library named after Paterno.  Time will tell.  The NCAA set forth their “sentence”...and boy did they.  They took away all wins since 1998 which means Bobby Bowden has the most wins in college football.  They were hit with a 60 million dollar fine to be paid to an endowment to help victims of child sexual abuse; they will not be able to compete in the post-season for four years – that to me was a little harsh, considering that the current staff and players had nothing to do with what went on there over the last decade.  But, they had to set a precedent.  Scholarships have been cut to 65 rather than the normal 85 allotted.  That will have the most detrimental effect, as far as I’m concerned.

So much for the Big 10.  Pen State was always a team to beat and an awesome atmosphere for football.  I do think that the fan support will be unbelievable this year under the current circumstances.

I read today that Chad “Ochocinco” took his birth name back and is now Chad Johnson, once again.  Shall we see if he can play ball like the Chad Johnson of old?

Well the time for fun and sun is over and training camps are ready to begin.  For Bronco fans, the pre-season schedule was released today and camp begins Thursday, July 26th and runs until August 17th.  There will be 18 practices open to the public.  Stop drooling!  Go to the team website for more information.

Me, I’m more interested in the Packers training camp…until next week – Keep it Real!
