UNDATED (AP) — The first-place Los Angeles Dodgers gave Jake Peavy (PEE'-vee) a rude greeting in his debut for the San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers roughed up Peavy for four runs in six innings as they finished a three-game sweep with a 4-3 victory at AT&T Park. Carl Crawford's RBI triple highlighted a three-run fifth inning against Peavy. The victory gives the Dodgers a game and a-half lead over the Giants in the NL West.

The 33-year-old right-hander started against the division-leading Dodgers, a day after being acquired in a trade with Boston. Peavy was 1-9 with Boston. Dan Uggla, another new acquisition, didn't fare very well either. The Giants second baseman went 0-for-3 and made two errors leading to an unearned run. Uggla was 0-for-8 with three errors in the series.

The Dodgers beat the Giants on consecutive nights with great pitching from Zack Greinke (GREHN'-kee), Clayton Kershaw and Hyun-Jin Ryu (HYOON JIHN ree-OO'). Ryu improved to 12-5 by holding the Giants to three runs in six innings, striking out seven.
