Powell Takes 3A Girls Title Over Lovell

The Powell Lady Panthers rebounded from a brutal offensive performance on Friday to win the state championship on Saturday over Lovell 58-52. Powell scored 5 points in the first half against Mountain View in the semi-finals on Friday but rang up 22 in the first quarter against Lovell. Jenni Ebersberger led Powell with 21 who won their first ever state championship in girls basketball and finished the year 22-4. Lovell was led by Mykelle Nichols with 14.
