A woman died last week after her car was hit by a pickup truck.

Nina Kendrick, 34, died a day after the crash, which occurred on Jan. 24 at 9 a.m. roughly 12 miles east of Cody on US Highway 14A.

Kendrick was driving a 2000 Audi A4 passenger car and turned left from Road 18 northbound onto US 14A westbound, according to a news release from the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

As the Audi began to turn at the intersection, it was struck by an eastbound 2017 Ram 2500 pickup truck driven by 23-year-old Nathan Nesbitt of Cody.

Kendrick was wearing her seatbelt and was taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Mont. following the crash. She died of her injuries on Jan. 25.

Nesbitt was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured.

Troopers are investigating the possibility that Kendrick failed to yield to traffic after stopping at a stop sign as a contributing factor in the crash.

Kendrick was the third person killed on Wyoming highways in 2017. The same time period in 2016 saw five highway deaths statewide.
