The PRCA Rodeo starts tonight in Casper in junction with the Central Wyoming Fair. More than several of the top 15 in the world standings in each event are scheduled to compete including all of Team Wyoming.

July is a huge rodeo month, so these guys are coming and going all over the place to earn enough money to qualify for NFR in December. The rodeo begins tonight at 7pm at the fairgrounds.

The Casper Cutthroats lost to Cheyenne 16-6 on Monday night. The Cutthroats have now dropped 3 in a row and stand at 16-13 on the season. The team has a couple of days off and will be in Laramie on Thursday.

The Major League Baseball All-Star game will be played tonight in Kansas City. The starting pitchers have been announced. The American League will go with current Cy Young Award winner  Justin Verlander of Detroit. The National League will counter with Matt Cain of San Francisco who threw a perfect game earlier in the season. The lone Colorado Rockie in the game will be Carlos Gonzoles.

The Home Run Derby was held Monday night in Kansas City. And for the 2nd time in four years Prince Fielder of Detroit won the event. Fielder won it two years ago as a member of the Milwaukee Brewers.

The New York Yankees have told Mr. October Reggie Jackson to stay away from the Yankees. Jackson made some pointed remarks in Sports Illustrated about current Yankee player Alex Rodriguez about his previous performance enhancing drug use. Jackson is a special advisor to the team.
