The PRCA Rodeo in Casper moves along tonight at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds. In the bareback yesterday, Casper College cowboy Zach Phillips turned in a score of 78 which was good for 2nd place in the first go-around behind Casey Wisehart of Colorado. In the tie-down roping, the reigning world champion, Tuf Cooper from Texas had a no time. The reigning world champion in the saddle bronc Taos Muncy from New Mexico posted an 80. The top score in the saddle bronc was turned in by Florida cowboy Isaac Diaz. In the bull riding, 2 guys with an 81, Utah's Tag Elliot and Brent Stall of Minnesota. The rodeo continues tonight at 7:30 and runs through Saturday.

In Major League baseball, the National League won their 3rd straight All-Star game in blanking the American All-Stars 8-0 in Kansas City. The National League with 5 runs in the first inning as they got to A.L. starting pitcher Justin Verlander of Detroit. The Giants Pablo Sandoval had a 3 run triple in the first. Later in the contest San Fran teammate Melky Caberra had a 2 run homer and was named the game's MVP. The National League team that makes it into the World Series will have home field advantage.

The Casper Cutthroats will have today off and start a road series in Laramie tomorrow. The Cutthroats return home a week from today.

The Casper Oilers return to conference play tonight when they are at Gillette.  The Oilers are 0-1 in Class AA and 28-26 overall. The Roughriders are 1-0 in conference play and 42-20 overall. First pitch is at 5:30pm. Gillette defeated Casper 12-7 at Lansing Field last month. The Oilers return home Thursday to host the Mike Devereaux Tournament.
