UNDATED (AP) — Derek Stepan scored twice, including the go-ahead goal in the third period, to lead the New York Rangers to a 4-2 victory over Winnipeg.

Ryan Callahan had a goal and three assists as the Rangers snapped a two-game losing streak, picking up two vital points in their fight to hold onto a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. New York started the night clinging to eighth place.

The Southeast Division-leading Jets got goals from Nik Antropov and Zach Bogosian in their third straight loss. Ondrej Pavelec stopped 31 shots for Winnipeg.

— Michal Rozsival scored the deciding goal in the sixth round of the shootout to give Chicago a 3-2 win over Nashville.

— Viktor Fasth made 26 saves for his third shutout of the season as Anaheim dumped Dallas 4-0. Bobby Ryan had a goal and an assist in the win

— Jaden Schwartz and Andy McDonald each had a goal and an assist to help St. Louis snap a three-game losing streak by beating Minnesota 4-1.

— Andrew Desjardins (day-zhahr-DAN'), Joe Thornton and Logan Couture (koo-CHOOR') scored during a 2:13 span of the second period to give San Jose a 3-0 lead in a 3-2 win over Vancouver.

— Josh Bailey, Travis Hamonic and John Tavares scored goals to lead the Islanders to a 3-1 win over New Jersey. The Islanders continued their playoff push with their fourth win in five games.

— Dan Cleary scored the go ahead goal and Damien Brunner ended his 15-game scoring drought to help Detroit edge Colorado 3-2.

— Jeff Halpern put Montreal ahead in the second period and Max Pacioretty provided insurance with two third-period goals to lead Montreal to a 4-1 win over Carolina.

— Edmonton picked up its fourth straight win as Justin Schultz had a goal and two assists in a 4-1 verdict over Calgary.

 

UNDATED (AP) — The Calgary Flames traded defenseman Jay Bouwmeester to the St. Louis Blues. In return, the Flames got a first-round pick and two prospects — defenseman Mark Cundari and goaltender Reto Berra.

If St. Louis does not qualify for this year's playoffs, the Flames will receive St. Louis' fourth-round selection in this summer's draft, with the first-round pick being deferred to 2014.

— Los Angeles has acquired defenseman Robyn Regehr (reh-GEER') from Buffalo for two second-round draft picks. The deal is contingent on the 13-year veteran passing a medical exam.
