Patrick McCaw scored 21 points to lead the UNLV Runnin' Rebels past the Wyoming Cowboys 69-57 Saturday night in Las Vegas.

UNLV (16-13, 7-9) shot 48 percent from the field. They made 11 three-pointers and shot 58 percent from deep. Christian Wood and Cody Doolin added 10 points apiece for the Rebels.

Wyoming (21-8, 10-6) got 24 points from Josh Adams, but lost their second straight. It was also the Cowboys fourth loss in their last six games. They've fallen to fifth place in the Mountain West standings.

Down double figures, the Cowboys cut the UNLV lead to 52-49 with just under eight minutes left. The Rebels responded with the next 10 points, and UW never threatened after that.

The Pokes shot only 39 percent from the field. They also committed 12 turnovers that led to 15 UNLV points. Derek Cooke Jr. added 10 points and seven rebounds in defeat.

A 16-4 run by the Rebels late in the first half put them in front. They led 32-25 at halftime.

Wyoming returns home on Wednesday for their home finale. The five seniors will be honored prior to the game against Utah State. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
