Riverton's Easton Paxton was the runaway winner at the State 4A golf tournament in Laramie over the weekend. He carded rounds of 65 and 66 to win by 13 strokes over Laramie's John Murdock and Drew Petrie of Kelly Walsh. Paxton has all the makings of an elite level golfer as he led his team to the state championship and won the individual title for the 2nd straight year. Earlier this year, the junior won a U.S. open sectional qualifier and beat David Ogrin. the pro at 3 Crowns Golf Club in Casper by 5 strokes.

Pinedale won the 3A title thanks to an individual championship from Jordan Costello. Thermopolis won the 2A title with Denton Shaw of Lusk winning the individual championship.
