The Colorado Rockies beat Arizona  4-1 Wednesday afternoon at Coors Field in Denver and took two of three games from the Diamondbacks. Carlos Gonzalez had a great day for the Rockies with a homer, double and 2 RBI's. Former Casper player Dexter Fowler had 2 hits and pitcher Jorge De La Rosa with a nice game into the 6th inning. The Rockies are now back on top with a share of the lead in the National League West Division. Colorado has today off and will be in San Francisco starting tomorrow night for a weekend series.

In the NBA Playoffs, Miami found a way to win game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals over Indiana 103-102 in overtime. Lebron James with a lay-up as time expired in the overtime for the win. James finished with 30 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Paul George led the Pacers with 27 points. There were 17 lead changes in the game.

In the Stanley Cup playoffs in hockey, Pittsburgh is one win away from the Eastern Conference finals, as they bombarded Ottawa  7-3. The Penguins lead that series 3 games to one.

In the NFL, linebacker Brian Urlacher has decided to retire after 13 seasons with the Chicago Bears. He was an 8 time Pro Bowl selection and the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year in 2005. He finished his career with 1779 tackles, 41 sacks, 22 interceptions and 11 forced fumbles.

Also San Francisco receiver Michael Crabtree tore his Achilles tendon in an off season  work-out. How long he'll be out remains to be seen. He caught 85 passes for 1105 yards last season for the 49er's.
