The Colorado Rockies are home to the New York Yankees tonight to start a three-game series. The Rockies are 18-13 on the year after losing 2 of 3 from Tampa Bay over the weekend. Former Rockie player Chris Nelson returns tonight as a Yankee. Nelson was traded from Colorado to New York 9 days ago. Nelson was also a former Casper player. The Yankees come in with an 18-12 record.

In the NBA playoffs from Monday night, in the Western Conference semifinals, San Antonio prevailed over Golden State in double overtime 129-127 thanks to a 3 pointer from Manu Ginobli with a second and a half to go in game one of that series. Ginobli was only 4 of 19 from the field before scoring the game winner and ending up with 16 points. Golden State watched a double digit lead dissipate even though they received another outstanding performance from Stephen Curry who had 44 points and 11 assists.

In the East Conference semifinals, Chicago shocked defending champion Miami in game one of their series 93-86 thanks to a 10-0 run in the last 2 minutes of the game. Nate Robinson had 27 points for the Bulls and Lebron James had 24 for the Heat.

The high school soccer regional tournaments will be begin Thursday around the state. The Kelly Walsh boys secured the number 2 seed in the 4A West and the automatic state tournament bid that went with it thanks to a 2-1 win over Natrona in the Casper Cup last week. Kenny Harold a transfer from the Dallas area scored both of the Trojan goals in that match as KW climbed to 6-5-3 on the year. The Trojans will play the winner of the Natrona-Green River match on Friday in that 4A West tournament in Evanston. The state 4A soccer tournaments will be held in Rock Springs and the 3A tournaments in Jackson next week.

In the Stanley Cup playoffs in hockey, first in the west, Detroit beat Anaheim 3-2 to even that series at 2 apiece. Los Angeles over St. Louis 4-3 to even that series at 2. In the east, Boston beat Toronto 5-2 to lead that series 2 games to 1. And the New York Rangers over Washington 4-3. The Capitals lead that series 2 games to 1.
