The Colorado Rockies open a weekend series at San Francisco tonight. Colorado is coming off winning 2 of 3 at home from Arizona earlier in the week. The Rockies, Giants and Diamondbacks are currently tied atop the National League West Division all with 26-21 records.

The basketball world is mourning the passing of legend Flynn Robinson who died yesterday at the age of 80 in Los Angeles. Robinson played with the Wyoming Cowboys from 1962-65 and possessed  unlimited range from the perimeter, averaging 26 points a game as a sophomore, 25 points a game as a junior and 27 points a game as a senior. He's 3rd on the all-time UW list in scoring and played 7 seasons in the NBA helping the Los Angeles Lakers win the NBA championship in 1972.

The Casper Oilers American Legion baseball team is back in action this Memorial Day weekend as they will be playing in the Cheyenne tournament. The Oilers are off to a great start with a 12-2 record.

The Casper Cutthroats collegiate team will get their season underway at the end of the month when they open up at home at Mike Lansing Field, hosting Cheyenne on May 31st.. The Cutthroats will have a new manager in this their second season, Steve Stutzman. He's the pitching coach at the college level at Nebraska-Kearney and coached a college type team last summer in Wichita, Kansas.
