In Major league Baseball from yesterday, the Colorado Rockies swept a day night doubleheader from the New York Mets in some very cold weather down in Denver.

In the first game, Carlos Gonzoles homered and Todd Helton drove in the go ahead runs as the Rox beat the Mets 8-4. That game was delayed almost 2 hours while snow was cleared from the field from the night before.

In the nightcap former Casper player Jordan Pacheco singled home the winning run in the top of the 10th inning to beat the Mets 9-8. The Rockies were down 6 runs in that contest and scored 4 times in the 5th inning. Colorado has won 5 in a row to get to 10-4 on the year. Those 2 teams scheduled for a game tonight down at Coors Field in Denver.
