The Wyoming High School 3A/4A State Basketball Tournaments begin this Thursday in Casper. Three of the four state champions from last year return to defend their titles, Natrona boys and Cheyenne East girls in the 4A and Torrington boys in the 3A. Jackson girls failed to qualify in this year's 3A tournament.

The 4A first round games Thursday will be at Casper College with 3A at the Casper Events Center. They will switch on Friday. Consolation games Saturday will be played at both sites with all four state championship games starting with the 3A girls at 3:30 Saturday at the Events Center. All Natrona boys and girls games will be broadcast on AM 1400 ESPN.

4A Boys:

First Round: Thursday  at Casper College

Noon:  Natrona (19-6)  vs  Cheyenne East (12-13)

1:30 pm:  Gillette (22-3)  vs  Evanston (19-6)

7:30 pm:  Star Valley (11-15)  vs  Laramie (14-11)

9:00 pm:  Sheridan (19-6)  vs  Rock Springs (19-6)

4A Girls:

First Round Thursday at Casper College

9:00 am:  Cheyenne East (18-9)  vs  Evanston (13-12)

10:30 am: Star Valley (14-10)  vs  Sheridan (20-4)

4:30 pm:  Laramie (20-5)  vs  Rock Springs ( 13-13)

6:00 pm:  Natrona (18-6)  vs  Gillette (17-7)

3A Boys:

First Round: Thursday at the Casper Events Center

Noon:  Torrington (17-11)  vs  Worland (16-11)

1:30 pm: Cody (10-17)  vs  Buffalo (22-5)

7:30 pm:  Wheatland (21-6)  vs  Lyman (15-11)
