State Swimming and Diving hits the pool in Gillette this weekend with 4A first.

There are 12 teams in each division, 3A and 4A, competing for titles and All American status.

4A begins the weekend with their prelims on Thursday afternoon at the Gillette Aquatic Center at 2 pm.

The 4A Finals will be Friday morning at 10am.

Kelly Walsh is the defending champion and most likely the favorite to do it again.

They are not quite as dominant as last year and could be challenged by a couple of teams if the cards fall right.

Individually, look for Rock Springs' Kayden Harbison to break a record in the 500 free.   He was close to Nic Dillinger's record last year and is poised to get that mark this year.

3A then hits the water for prelims at 3:30pm Friday and swims finals Saturday morning at 10 am.

In 3A, Lander is looking for title number 19, in a row.

It appears the Tigers have the depth again this year to bring home another top trophy.
