The Casper College basketball teams came up with a couple of important wins on Wednesday night as they posted road wins over Miles City. The T-Bird men survived a poor shooting 2nd half to edge the Pioneers 76-73. Josh McSwiggan led the way with 19 points and Deonte Strickland chipped in 18. Casper did struggle from the free throw line, making just 15 of 26. But Casper is 22-7 overall and 10-3 in the sub region with their regular season finale coming up on Saturday afternoon against Gillette College at the Erickson Gym. The Birds trail Gillette by 1 game in the Region IX North standings and the winner of the North will host this year's Region IX tournament. On the ladies side, Casper College edged Miles City 68-62 as Ashley Larson had 17 and Paula Orenes has 12. The Lady T-Birds are 22-7 and 11-2 in sub region play. They trail Western Wyominng by 1 game in the North standings with a huge home game against Gillette coming up on Saturday afternoon at 3pm.
