Casper Ghosts

The Casper Ghosts (7-14) dropped three straight to the division leading Ogden Raptors (15-6) over the weekend, and are now a paltry 3-11 on the road. Ghosts announcer Adam Spolane gives his re-cap here:

After enjoying an early 1-0 lead, the Casper Ghosts (6-11) were never really in the game last night as the Idaho Falls Chukars (9-8) once again had the better offense and defense. The Ghosts are now 1-5 against the Chukars. Announcer Adam Spolane had this to say in his game recap:

With an 8-1 lead over the Idaho Falls Chukars, the Casper Ghosts seemed to be on their way to a 5th straight victory, but the home team still had some time and bats on their side, as they finished the game with a flurry of hits to pull out the 9-8 victory. Adam Spolane gives his recap here:

Starting off the season with a record of 2-9, the Casper Ghosts wrapped up a 7 game home-stand with 4 straight victories, including a 13-12 15th inning victory over the Orem Owls. Ghosts announcer Adam Spolane gives the recap here:

With the score tied,  bases loaded, and no outs in the bottom of the ninth, the Casper Ghosts seemed to be on their way to the first home victory of the season...but a good Idaho Falls defense killed any hopes of a Casper win. Here's Ghosts announcer Adam Spolane's recap of the extended contest:

Down by a score of 6-0, the Casper Ghosts had just started mounting a comeback before Mother Nature took over. After a lengthy rain delay, officials called the game at the end of the 6th, giving the Casper Ghosts another close loss as they were only able to come within 2, finishing the game with a 6-4 loss...

With a slightly overcast sky and festival-like atmosphere, the Casper Ghosts had everything they needed for an exceptional home opener...that is, everything but a good finish. Leading the entire game, the Casper Ghosts lost in the ninth inning when they gave up two runs...
