For the third time this season, senior forward Chaundra Sewell has been named Mountain West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played from March 5-10, 2013. It is the third MW weekly accolade Sewell has earned this season and of her career. She shares the honor with UNLV forward Rejane Verin.

The league-leading Aztecs took the lead for good with an 11-3 run at the start of the second half and held off any Cowgirl challenge. Clements and Hopkins combined for 41 of SDSU's 57 points.
