The T-Birds had a tough time with Gillette College all season.

The Casper College T-Birds lost to Otero, Colorado  73-70 in the Region-IX Men's Basketball Championship game in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on Tuesday night. The Birds were looking for their first regional title since 1996.

The Casper College Lady T-Birds were hoping for a three-peat in a Region-IX championship, but that came crashing down Monday night as they lost the Northeastern College 72-58 at Erickson Gym in the semifinals. But it was a great ending for the T-Bird men as they edged Western Nebraska 70-68 in their semifinal game at Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

The Casper College T-Birds will play for the Region-IX basketball championship title tonight after beating Western Nebraska 70-68 Monday night in Scottsbluff, Neb. The Casper College women fell in their semifinals to Northeastern Colorado 72-58 at Erickson Gym.

Both the Casper College men's and women's teams have advanced to the semifinals of the Region-IX Tournaments. The Lady T-Birds beat Miles City 61-52 Sunday night. Fayne Tyson led the T-Birds with 14-points.
