Women's Basketball

Labor issues could very well wipe out the 2011-2012 NBA season, but a fledgling basketball league appears prepared to pick up the slack if Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki and company aren’t allowed to hit the hardwood.

The Casper College Thunderbirds are playing the lady Cougars tonight(Mar. 08) in some high velocity final four action.  The winner of this game will go on to play in the championship tomorrow afternoon.  After a tough match the Thunderbirds were victorious over the Nebraska Cougars by a score of 57-46 and will be playing in the championship game tomorrow against the Rattlers.

It's time for region nine basketball ball and we're covering your women's games.  It's getting close to a championship but the t-birds needed this one first to make it into the final four.   The lady Thunderbirds took the victory with a score of 66-59 and will play the Cougars in a final four game on Tuesday March 8th at 7:00pm.

It's almost time for playoffs and the lady Thunderbirds played the Gillette Pronghorns tonight(Feb.22). The thunderbirds lost 73-54.

The Lady Thunderbirds played the Sheridan Generals tonight(Feb.19).  The Thunderbirds took the victory over Sheridan by a score of 64-59.

Women basketball tonight(Feb. 18) with the women Casper College Thunderbirds playing the Powell Trappers. The T-Birds Beat the Trappers 78-69.

The Casper College Thunderbird ladies played the Western Nebraska Cougars tonight(Feb.15) on Nebraska's home turf.  The cougars defeated Casper with a score of 78-71.

It's Saturday February 5th and the Thunderbirds are in Rock Springs battling the Mustangs. The women played first followed by the men.  The women T-birds beat the Rocks Springs Mustangs 85-77.

The Casper College men's and women's basketball teams picked up Central sub-region wins Friday night over Gillette College at Swede Erickson Gym. The T-Bird women remain unbeaten in sub-region play with a 77-64 win over the Pronghorns.
