Three Wyoming Cowboys have recently earned All-America honors for the 2016 college football season.

Senior center Chase Roullier was named a Second Team All-American by USA Today Sports. Roullier has played 46 games in the Brown and Gold and started 40 at UW. He’s a First Team All-Mountain West selection and has been a team captain the past two season. Roullier was also a semifinals for the Campbell Trophy, recognized as college football’s premier scholar-athlete award. He was named to the Outland Trophy Watch List and Rotary Lombardi Award Watch List for 2016.

Junior running back Brian Hill was chosen as Third Team All-America by College Sports Madness. He’s joined on the third team by Stanford standout Christian McCaffrey. Hill ranks No. 6 in average rushing yards per game at 135.9 this season. He’s fourth in total yards with 1,767, which is a new school record. Hill has also scored 21 rushing touchdowns, fourth most in the nation. He’s established a new career rushing record at UW, as well, with 4,194 yards and holds six total school marks. Hill was one of 10 semifinalists for the Doak Walker Award.

Freshman linebacker Logan Wilson was named to the USA Today Sports Freshman All-America Team for 2016. Wilson was the Mountain West Freshman of the Year. He led all conference freshman in tackles this season, averaging 6.8 per game. That was good for 21st overall in the MW. Wilson was the conference Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in UW’s win over Utah State. He had seven tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery in the victory. The redshirt freshman also scored twice this season with an interception return against Eastern Michigan and a fumble recovery in the end zone at UNLV. Wilson has 88 tackles this season, three sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss. He’s also had three interceptions, three fumble recoveries, forced a fumble and had three pass break-ups.

Wyoming’s had four honorees in the past two seasons combined. These three join safety Andrew Wingard, who was a Freshman All-American last year.
