Coach Christensen has complete confidence in his kicker, true freshman Daniel Sullivan.  It was Sullivan's field goal at the end of the first half of Saturday nights game against San Diego State, that proved to be the game winner.

Sullivan (5-10, 185, Fr., Snohomish, Wash.) was 4 of 6 in field goal duties on Saturday, but did miss an extra point that could've proved costly.  The pokes were able to hold off a last minute charge from SDSU and it was ultimately their kicker who missed a last second field goal, giving UW its 5th victory of the 2011 season.

In an interview with UW's head coach in the Rawlins Daily Times,  Dave Christensen said of his freshman kicker:

"He's had his struggles, but he's maturing and getting more comfortable."  UW Coach Dave Christensen - via Rawlins Daily Times

You can bet, Sullivan will likely be called upon to deliver once again on Saturday as the Cowboys take on the Horned Frogs of TCU.  TCU comes into the game with ten straight MWC victories.
