The Casper Ghosts who opened up their seven game homestand Monday night with a 12-2 win over Great Falls were drilled by the Voyagers Tuesday night 15-6 at Lansing Field, with 1285 in attendance. Ghosts pitching surrendered 19 hits with four Voyager hitters getting three hits apiece. Ghosts starter Raul Fernadez went 3 2/3 innings giving up six runs and nine hits. Reliever Alving Mejas went an 1 1/3-innings and allowed eight runs and seven hits. At the plate, Trevor Story was 2 for 5 with a home run and three RBI's. Casper remains tied with Orem in the South Division as the Owlz lost again to Missoula 8-2. Both teams have  10-6 records here in the second half. The two teams wrap up the series tonight at 7:05 on AM 1400 ESPN. Billings comes to town for a four game series starting Thursday night.

The Colorado Rockies lost to the Florida Marlins Tuesday night 6-5 at Coors Field. Colorado with home runs from Seth Smith, Troy Tulowitski and Carlos Gonzales, all solo shots. Those two teams play again tonight in Denver.

The Wyoming Cowboy football team went through their third scrimmage of the fall Tuesday in Laramie. At the quarterback spot, Freshmen Brett Smith is taking another step towards winning the starting job. He took most of the reps with the number one offense and 9 of 14 for 80 yards and a touchdown pass. Colby Kirkegaard was 11 of 19 for 104 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. Some 14 different players caught passes in the scrimmage led by Trey Norman with five receptions. Alvester Alexander was the leading rusher with 34 yards. The defense recorded four sacks with those two interceptions.
