Will The Pioneer League Ever Come Back To Casper?

The Helena Brewers will remain in Montana's capital city

for at least four more years.

The team announced Thursday it signed a four-year player development contract

extension with Major League Baseball's Milwaukee Brewers.

The Pioneer League team's president and general manager, Paul Fetz, says the

partnership is the best it's ever been.

Helena has been Milwaukee's rookie affiliate since 2003. The teams had renewed

their agreement every two years before the four-year deal was struck.

Milwaukee Brewers vice president and assistant general manager Gord Ash says

he's pleased with Helena team and the community support.

That's despite a league-low average 849 fans per game this year. Ash says the

fans who are there are active and enthusiastic.
