Wyoming Cowboys Heading To New Mexico For Bowl Game
The Wyoming Cowboy football team is traveling to Albuquerque today to prepare for their New Mexico Bowl matchup with Temple University. Both the Cowboys and Owls come into Saturday's game at 8-4.
The Owls are a 7-point favorite. The Cowboys won the the New Mexico Bowl in 2009. Saturday's kickoff is at noon and can be heard on AM 1030 KTWO. The New Mexico Bowl is the first of the bowl season featuring some 35 bowl games for the next three weeks.
Men's college basketball from Wednesday night as the Wyoming Cowboys won their 8th straight in beating UC Urvine 58-48 at the AA in Laramie. The Pokes held another team under 50 points where they are in the top five in the nation for points against. Jaydee Luster with a career high 18 points as the Cowboys hit 7 3-pointers out of 21 attempts. UW improves to 10-1 on the season and will host Sioux Falls on Friday night.
The Colorado Avalanche beat the San Jose Sharks 4-3 in a shoot-out. Teenager Gabrial Landeskog with a decisive goal for the Avs. Colorado are 14-16-1 and last place in the Northwest Division.
