The Wyoming Cowgirls will be at home tonight when they host UNLV. The Cowgirls are coming off a loss to San Diego State last Saturday 66-43. UW is 13-4 overall and 2-2 in the Mountain West Conference. UNLV comes in at 6-12 and 2-2 in league play. Tip-off tonight is at 7:00pm from the AA in Laramie.

The Wyoming Cowboys will play at UNLV on Thursday night. The Pokes upset then 15th ranked San Diego State last Saturday at the AA. The Cowboys are 15-2 and 2-2 in the Mountain West Conference. Tomorrow night's game is at 7:15pm on AM 1030 KTWO.

The Casper College teams are in Sheridan tonight for key Region-IX North Sub-Region match ups. Both teams lost on Saturday at home to Gillette College. The T-Bird men are 15-4 and 6-1 in region play. The Generals are 6-1 and 17-4. The Lady T-Birds are 16-3 and 5-2 in the north sub-region. Sheridan women are 7-0 and 17-4 overall and are currently ranked 20th in the national poll. The women's game is at 5:30pm followed by the men's game at 7:30 on AM 1400 ESPN.

The Prep Game of the Week is Thursday night this week as the Natrona Mustangs host the Riverton Wolverines. Game time is 7:30pm with the pregame show at 7:15 on AM 1400 ESPN.

The Mountain West Conference unveiled their new football alignment for next season. There will be two divisions with a championship game slated for the first week in December. Wyoming will be in the Mountain Division with Colorado State, Air Force, New Mexico, Boise State and Utah State. The West Division will have San Diego State, San Jose State, Fresno State, UNLV, Nevada and Hawaii. The championship game will be hosted by the team with the highest BCS ranking. So each team will play 5 divisional games and 3 cross over games. The divisional alignment will not apply to basketball with each team playing 18 conference games, home and home and 2 select games either home or away.

In the NHL, the Colorado Avalanche won their home opener Tuesday night beating the defending champion LA KIngs 3-1. The Avs won it on 3rd period goals by Gabriel Landeskog and David Jones. The Avalanche are 1-1.
