LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team will open the 2013-14 season this week with their first and only exhibition game.

The Cowgirls host the Chadron State on Friday night in the Arena Auditorium.

Wyoming returns two starters and nine letterwinners for last year's 24-8 team.

The Cowgirls are led by juniors Kayla Woodward and Kaitlyn Mileto.

A Second Team All-Mountain West selection a year ago, Woodward averaged 14.1 points and 6.3 rebounds in 32 games. She was selected as the conference preseason player of the year.

Mileto returns after her 11.8 points and 2.6 rebounds per game earned her Third Team All-Mountain West honors a year ago.

The Cowgirls first regular season game is set for Nov. 8 in Sheridan against Montana State-Northern.
