The calendar still says March, but already there are a number of big games to be played involved teams ranked by the coaches/media.

It's #1 vs. #2 in both 4A boys and girls. Campbell County is ranked tops in both, with Laramie right behind them. The Plainsmen boys recently won their home opener vs. #3 Natrona, and  will host the Camels on Saturday. The rest of the ranked 4A boys teams have the weekend off. That includes #3 Natrona, #4 Cheyenne Central and #5 Cheyenne East.

3A boys has a matchup almost as big. On Friday, new #1 Cody is scheduled to visit former #1, now #3 Riverton. It's been awhile since the Broncs have been in the top spot. Torrington is up to #2, after their recent success. Star Valley is in the rankings at #4, while Lander drops a couple of spots to #5.

The #1 vs. #2 matchup in 4A girls will be at Campbell County, also on Saturday. The game is last year's state championship match, where the #2 Laramie Lady Plainsmen emerged victorious. That game is the big one this weekend, because #3 Cheyenne East, #4 Kelly Walsh and #5 Jackson, all have the weekend off.

There wasn't much change in the latest 3A girls rankings, but they also have a #1 vs. #2 clash this weekend. #2 Worland visits #1 Cody on Thursday, in a big northwest matchup. Star Valley and Buffalo maintain their positions at #3 and #4, while Rawlins now has the #5 spot, after starting the season 2-0.
