Things have calmed down in the latest coaches/media rankings, but chaos could still erupt like it did 2 weeks ago.

The only change in the new 4A rankings, is that there is one team ranked at #5, instead of 2 previously. Cheyenne South has that spot to themselves. The Bison face a difficult road test this weekend, taking on #4 Gillette and #3 Sheridan back-to-back. Rock Springs and Kelly Walsh are still the top 2 ranked teams, and have to deal with other conference business before they can eye next week's rematch.

For 3 teams, the top 4 are the same. Riverton is the unanimous #1, followed by Douglas, Worland, and Torrington, The Bearcats and Warriors played each other at the start of the season, which ended up being a one-sided contest. Much has changed since then, and the defending champ have to prove it on their home court. Lyman is now in the rankings at #5, after bumping off previous #5 Cody last week.

This is the last week of the regular season for 2A and 1A, and there's not much on the horizon, as far as games featuring ranked team vs. ranked team goes. For the 2A teams, #5 Wyoming Indian and #2 Wind River will meet for the third time this weekend, and this contest will be at the Cougars' gym. Pine Bluffs is still the unanimous #1, Big Horn is still #3 and Lovell is still #4.

Voter turnout in 1A was a bit low, but not much changed. Burlington, Kaycee, and Little Snake River are the unanimous #1, #2 and #3. Despite last week's loss, Meeteese was able to hang around with the top ranked Huskies last week, and the voters moved the Longhorns up to #4, bumping Lingle-Ft. Laramie down to #5.
