Classes 2A and 1A are in post-season mode, 4A teams are still jockeying for regional seeding, and 3A regional seeding is mostly set.

Top seeds still have to be determined in Class 4A, and what better way to close out the regular season, than by having the top 4 teams, ranked by the coaches and media, go at it for a second time. It's #1 vs. #2 and #3 vs. #4 on Friday night, that is unless the approaching snowstorm cancels travel plans. Rock Springs is scheduled to visit Kelly Walsh to determine the top 2 seeds in the west, while Gillette visits Sheridan for the same in the East. Meanwhile, Evanston now holds the #5 ranking, which hasn't been a safe spot for other teams that have held that ranking.

For 3A teams, this week is just a tune-up for regionals, because as mentioned earlier, almost every seed is set. In the latest rankings, Riverton and Worland are the unanimous #1 and #2. The defending champ Warriors have turned it around, since getting clobbered by Riverton back in January, and dished some payback on #3 Douglas last week. Lyman is now up to #4, that after former #4, now #5 Torrington got upset at home by unranked Rawlins.

For Class 2A and 1A, these are the final rankings of the season.

There's no change in the final 2A rankings of the season, although Pine Bluffs is not the unanimous #1 anymore. The defending champs haven't had much of a challenge since they beat #3 Big Horn back in early January, but should get that long over-due test this weekend at the regional tournament. Elsewhere, #2 Wind River, #4 Lovell and #5 Wyoming Indian will be competing in Riverton. In the past, a few upsets have happened, and it has sometimes resulted in a ranked team, missing out on the state tournament.

The final 1A rankings of the season had some small movement at the bottom. Burlington, Kaycee and Little Snake River remain at #1, #2 and #3 respectively. The rankings don't mean anything anymore. The Rattlers could possibly attest to that, considering they have a win this season vs. the 3-time defending champ Huskies. #4 Lingle-Ft. Laramie will join Kaycee at the East Regional Tournament. Cokeville and St. Stephens tie for the #5 ranking, and just like in 2A, don't be surprised if a ranked team misses out on a trip to Casper.

Disclaimer: The rankings have no official say on post-season positioning, and are only to be used as a measuring stick on the regular season. Please don't read too much into the rankings.
