This week will be an interesting one to watch, as teams that are in the coaches/media rankings play each other...most of which are big rematches.

All the attention in 4A will be on teams ranked #2, #3 and #4. The latter is Cheyenne East, and they get #2 Gillette and #3 Sheridan back-to-back at home. 2 weeks ago the Lady Thunderbirds were on the road against the Lady Broncs and Lady Camels, and it didn't turn out too well. Maybe the home court is what they need in order to shake up the 4A rankings. Natrona is still ranked #1, and Rock Springs is still #5 this week.

In 3A, unanimous #1 Worland is still the only undefeated team left in the state boys, and girls, and they have big games against teams wanting another shot at them. First up is a road trip to #5 Douglas. The Lady Bearcats may have picked a good time to get hot, because they got some attention with their big win at then #2 Newcastle. After that game, Worland returns home to face the Lady Dogies who are ranked #4. Mountain View and Star Valley move up to #2 and #3, ahead of there Saturday matchup in Afton. Before that, SV has some unfinished business at home vs. Pinedale. The Lady Wranglers won the first matchup last month.

The 2A ranks could be a bit quiet this week as far as the schedule goes. The top 4 remain unchanged with Lyman, Pine Bluffs, Southeast, and Wyoming Indian occupying those spots. The Lady Eagles and the Lady Hornets are both undefeated vs. 2A competition, but there's still plenty of games left to be played, before anyone can write them into the state championship contest. Big Horn is back in the rankings at #5, after their win at Tongue River last week.

1A is also going to be a class to watch, with 3 big games of ranked team vs. ranked team. The rankings themselves are unchanged from last week. St. Stephens is the unanimous #1, followed by Cokeville, Little Snake River, Encampment and Kaycee. As for the matchups...it was a late add to the schedule, but there's some good timing in it. #1 SS visits #5 Kaycee on Saturday. The rest of the action is in the Southwest, as #2 Cokeville plays #3 Little Snake River and #4 Encampment back-to-back at home. The Panthers beat both the Lady Rattlers and Lady Tigers back-to-back on the road 4 weeks ago, and now they get to enjoy the comforts of home, the second time around.
