Just like the boys, the latest coaches/media girls rankings reveals some big games coming up, particularly in conference play.

It's a tight race on top of 4A. #1 Gillette leads #2 Cheyenne East by one vote,. Both teams can't look ahead to next week's clash, because there are other conference opponents waiting to knock them off of their perch. The Lady Camels visit #3 Laramie this weekend, which should be a good indicator of which team is ready for conference play, and which team isn't. Rock Springs drops one spot to #4, after picking their first loss of the season last week vs. Laramie, while Natrona holds at #5, by one vote ahead of Cheyenne Central.

There's a wide gap in 3A, between #2 and #3, but there's a chance that could change. #3 Lyman visits #2 Star Valley on Friday night. Meanwhile, #1 Douglas will host Newcastle as part of conference business this weekend, and then host 4A Green River on Monday. It's a late add to the schedule. Elsewhere, Worland claims the #4 ranking, while Wheatland and Powell share the #5 spot.

Pine Bluffs remains the unanimous #1 in 2A. Despite losing last week, Wyoming Indian holds at #2. The Lady Chiefs had a few players out with injuries, and hope to be back to full strength soon. Southeast and Big Horn are still ranked #3 and #4 heading into the conference games, and Lovell cracks the rankings at #5, pushing out Sundance.

There's been a change on top of 1A. Little Snake River claims the top spot this week, ahead of defending champ St. Stephens. The Lady Rattlers have a tough road trip this weekend, visiting Cokeville and #3 Farson-Eden. As for the the Lady Eagles...they haven't seen much action since returning from the winter break, but that will soon change. Lingle-Ft. Laramie and Encampment each drop 1 spot this week, to #4 and #5 respectively.
