The latest coaches/media rankings has a new #1, as that team climbed over the old #1, but the former has a chance to grab it back this week.

The Casper schools occupy the top 2 spots in the latest 4A rankings. Last week, then #3 Natrona beat both then #2 East and then #1 Kelly Walsh in back-to-back matches, to win the Casper Invitational. Now the defending state champion Fillies have the top spot, and the Lady Trojans fall to #2, with the Lady Thunderbirds now at #3. NC and KW rematch this week at Trojan Gym, and this time it's a conference game. Elsewhere, Riverton's showing at the Casper Invite, allowed the Lady Wolverines to move back into the rankings at #4, while Gillette slips a spot to #5. The #1 through #4 rankings are all unanimous. This weekend, #1 NC, #2 KW, #5 Gillette as well as unranked Sheridan head north of the border to play in the Border vs. 3 Billings teams, and Bozeman.

There was a little change in the 3A ranks, but not at top. 1, 2, 3 are still occupied by Mountain View, Powell and Rawlins respectively. Douglas is back in the rankings at #4, and Newcastle falls to #5, and Lovell dropped out. The Lady Dogies and the Lady Bearcats are scheduled, to duke it out Thursday at Douglas.

No change at all this week in the 2A ranks. It's still Wright, Big Horn, Southeast, Thermopolis and Lyman. Thermop actually has the tough schedule this week, as they host 3A Lovell on Thursday, and then have a Northwest first place battle scheduled for Saturday, at Shoshoni. #3 Southeast also has a first place game on their hands on Friday, at Burns.

The latest 1A ranks had a few teams move around, but all stayed in the top 5. Hulett retains the top spot, while Cokeville moves ahead of Encampment for #2, thus bumping the Lady Tigers down to #3. Kaycee does the same to Little Snake River. The Lady Bucs occupy #4, and the Lady Rattlers are down to #5.
