4A West Regional Basketball Tournaments Start Thursday

The post season begins for the 4A girls and boys basketball teams across the state this Thursday. The East Region will be played at Sheridan and the West Region at Rock Springs.

AM 1400 ESPN will broadcast the Natrona boys and girls games from Rock Springs.

West Region Boys

Thursday Games:

5:30 pm: #3-seed Natrona (16-6)  vs  #6-Green River (5-16)

8:30 pm:  #4-Riverton (15-10)  vs  #5-Star Valley (9-14)

Friday Games:

5:30 pm: Natrona/Green River Winner vs #2-Rock Springs (19-4)

8:30 pm:  Riverton/Star Valley Winner vs #1-Evanston (18-5)

Saturday Games:

Third place Game--11:30 am   Championship Game--2:30 pm

West Region Girls:

Thursday Games:

4:00 pm: #4-Evanston (12-10)  vs  #5-Green River (3-19)

7:00 pm:  #3-Rock Springs (11-12)  vs #6-Riverton (1-20)

Friday Games:

4:00 pm:  #2-Star Valley (13-9) vs Rock Springs/Riverton Winner

7:00 pm:  #1-Natrona (16-6) vs Evanston/Green River Winner

Saturday Games:

Third Place Game: 10:00 am  Championship Game: 1:00 pm

The top four teams from both tournaments advance to the State 4A Tournaments at the Casper Events Center and Casper College Thursday March 10-12.
