Dominique Lee became the second Casper College basketball player this year to sign a Division I letter of intent.

Lee said Thursday he is going to the same place as teammate Corey Spence – the University of Northern Colorado. Their former CC Head Coach Joel Davidson joined the UNC staff this spring as an assistant coach.

Lee played in all 32 games for the T-Birds this season, averaging 14 points and 8 rebounds. The 6-5 wing will go down as the second leading field goal percentage shooter in program history (behind Alex Hernandez), hitting on 61 percent of his shots. He was named to the Region IX all-tournament team and was also a second team all-Region IX selection.

The Oakland, Calif. native originally signed with the University of Utah out of high school, but after a redshirt season there he transferred to Casper College to play with his twin brother Demetrius.

T-Bird Head Coach Dan Russell said Lee improved as much as anyone on the team this season. “He finished very strong; stronger than anyone we had,” Russell said.

Lee and Spence helped lead the T-Birds to a 24-8 record. Casper was knocked out of the regional tournament in the second round.
