The Kelly Walsh football team opened the 2013 season with a 52-12 loss on Friday night at the Harry Geldien Stadium. Gillette led 26-6 at halftime and received a superlative performance from quarterback Seth Moerkerke who ran for 101 yards and threw for 136. Morkerke was filling in for the suspended Austin Forte and the Camels were never threatened after the first quarter of play. Trojans starting quarterback Marcus Nolan was 9 of 17 for 133 yards and interception and ran the ball 16 times for 29 yards. K-W will be on the road in Sheridan on Friday, September 6th.
