The Casper Oilers high school aged hockey team won the state championship yet again as they beat Gillette 3-2 in the title match at the Snow King Arena in Jackson. The win avenged a loss 2-1 heartbreaking loss to Gillette on Saturday night and overall, the Oilers went 3-1 in the state tournament. Casper opened up play on Friday with a 7-0 win over Cheyenne, then a 5-1 win over Jackson on Saturday, a 2-1 loss to Gillette followed by that 1 goal win on Sunday. The Oilers have won the last 3 state championships.
