The Casper Cutthroats collegiate team made it 5 wins in a row with a 6-3 win over Fort Collins Thursday night at Lansing Field. Austin Rue had 3 hits and a couple of runs batted in to lead Casper.

The Cutthroats are 14-10 on the season as they host Fort Collins again tonight at 6pm at Lansing Field.

The Casper Oilers opened up play in the Jackson Tournament on Thursday with a 9-0 win over Smithfield, Utah. The Oilers with 4 runs in the 4th inning and 4 more in the 5th to put the game away. Jon Robinson drove in 4 runs for Casper. The Oilers have two games today, meeting Sugar Salem, Idaho at 6pm and playing the host Jackson team at 8:30pm.

Baseball at the Major League level and the Colorado Rockies losing to St. Louis on the road 6-2. Cardinal rookie pitcher Lance Lynn threw 6 shut-out innings. Matt Holliday continued his torrid hitting with 2 RBI's as the Cards have now won 4 of their last 5. The Rockies still struggling as they have lost 4 of their last 5. And in their last 6 games they have scored just 13 runs. Colorado continues their road trip as they open a weekend series with Washington tonight.

Roger Federer is a win away from a record-tying seventh Wimbledon crown after taking out the defending champion in the semifinals. The 16-time Grand Slam champion knocked off top-ranked Novak Djokovic 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 under a closed roof on Centre Court to earn his 27th berth in a Grand Slam final. Federer will face the winner of the second semifinal pitting fourth-seeded Andy Murray of Britian against No. 5 seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France.
