Lady T-Birds Upset at Region IX Tournament

The Casper College women's basketball team who came into the Region IX tournament as a #1 seed were sent packing after one game thanks to a 74-62 loss to Northwest of Powell on Thursday in Scottsbluff. The T-Birds were only in the game briefly as the Lady Trappers controlled the game pretty much start to finish. Casper shot 33% from the floor and turned the ball over 24 times. Brianna Troop led the way with 18 points with Kassidy Scott chipping in 13. NWCC shot 43% from the field and received 17 points from Hatti Synder. Powell defeated Casper twice this season and they improve to 18-13 on the year. The T-Bird season comes to an end at 22-9.
