It's been a long time since New York basketball fans have had something to cheer about, but now they've found a new hero in Jeremy Lin, who has seemingly gone from no one to a rising superstar over night.

Last night Lin did it again, sinking a game-winning three-pointer with less than a second remaining to give the Knicks a 90-87 win over the Toronto Raptors.

Lin scored 27 points, including six late in the game to help lift the Knicks to victory. They were also aided by the return of Amare Stoudemire, who was back in the line-up after a four-game bereavement absence.

Lin's latest heroics come after he scored a career-high 38 points against the Lakers on Friday and a five-game streak of scoring at least 20 points.
