Cheyenne East Runs Over Kelly Walsh 52-7

The Cheyenne East Thunderbirds behind Seniors Trevon Hinker and Jeremy Woods ran and passed their way past Kelly Walsh Friday night in the opening game of the 2011 season in Casper 52-7. Quarterback Hinker threw for two touchdowns and ran for one and Woods ran for three more in the win.

Woods ran touchdowns of 2, 29 and 85 yards. He ended up with 222 yards on 23 carries. Hinker was 6 of 12 for 136 yards and two TD's, all in the first half. East ended  up with 518 total yards with 382 on the ground. The only highlight for the Trojans was a second quarter kickoff return from Terry Jackson of 99 yards. The Trojans could only muster 58 total yards and were minus 9 rushing yards. Kelly Walsh will host Evanston next Friday night. Cheyenne East has their home opener with Laramie.
